The Museum of Flightsimulation (Museum voor vluchtsimulatie) is located at the industrial estate of Someren in the south of The Netherlands, east of the City of Eindhoven. The museum is founded almost 30 years ago.
The museum is under the control of Foundation The Link, named after Ed Link, the famous inventor of the flight simulator, back in the year 1935. It is the objective of the foundation to:
1. restore and preserve flightsimulators (full restoration)
2. build up a historical collection of flightsimulators
3. to run and control a museum, in which the collection is presented to the public and interested people can get acquainted with the practice of flying in flightsimulators.
4. to realise these targets the museum organizes simulator flights for the interested public on the own material.
In the museum you can fly in one or more of the simulators. Every week we have groups, who come to have fun, celebrate birthdays, just a couple of friends, batchelor-parties, what ever. But also students for their Gradings or Private licenced pilots, who want to train real instrument-flying. You are welcome to visit us!
This site is obviously not translated into English, but hopefully you might see some interesting pages.
